Hello, I’m Asha Harkness (she / her), founder of Indigo Inclusion and Indigo Home.

I am The Unmasked ADHD and Autism Coach and The Intersectional DEI Geek.

I help late-identified, intersectionally marginalised, ADHD and autistic people to feel at home with themselves so they can stay out of burnout and benefit from their brilliant brains.

My approach:

* Neuroaffirming - we look at neurodivergence through a lens, you're not defined by a label.

* I make challenges visible - so you can stop blaming yourself for tripping over invisible hurdles.

* Neuroinclusive - there are multiple ways I can support you whilst meeting differing needs.

My story (cliffnotes version):

* I’ve faced a lot of discrimination and exclusion throughout my life and career.

* I've battled mental health challenges as an undiagnosed AuDHDer (anxiety, depression, panic attacks).

* I've overcome redundancy (x4), loss and severe neurodivergent burnout (24+ months) with my own research and through coaching.

* I've become a person who has their own back no matter what and I want to help as many neurodivergent people as possible to live an easier and more joyful life.

Things that bring me joy…

* Anything arts-related, queer spaces and outdoor exercise!

* Animals (Chief Pug Cuddler in my house), nature and campervan trips.

* Podcasts and good coffee.

Areas of expertise:

  • "It was so nice and refreshing to have an authentic and real facilitator. Asha has a strong storytelling ability that can explain data points and bring them to life and I appreciate how she shares her own lived experience. Asha is a leader in this space and I loved everything about her session. The takeaways were so actionable and valuable."

    Sara, Founder, Fresh and Fearless

  • "How Asha put together the workshop based on our answers to her questionnaire was brilliant. The understanding I now have is key to what I can implement on the ground. I knew it would be good based on my conversations with Asha beforehand but I was blown away by how valuable it was."

    Andra, Founder and Director, LCC

  • “Asha took the time to ensure her examples were tailored and relevant to us and included some great actions people could take too. Sharing her own personal story was really powerful. I’d definitely recommend her.”

Nicola Matthews, UKI Head of Marketing aka Countess of Cocoa, Tony’s Chocolonely

  • “Asha expertly demonstrates how to look below the surface when it comes to working in a team. She communicates in a way that helps educate without being patronising or defensively and talks about topics that can be easily swept under the carpet; that shouldn’t be. Most importantly she gives practical solutions and ways to open conversations that need to happen that we’ve been able to action at Copy Club for the benefit of all.”

Bee Jones, Head of People, Copy Club

  • “I worked with Asha on a project to create and refine our internal DEI strategy and policy. Asha’s depth and breadth of knowledge in the area was fundamental to getting our policy off the ground. Our work together delivered a range of practical and actionable insights that have already started to positively impact on our organisation and culture. If you’re looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and empathetic expert to help you navigate the world of DEI, I’d highly recommend you speak to Indigo Inclusion without delay. I look forward to working together again soon.”
